Gérald Genta’s iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak timepiece stood the test of time and took on Milan Triennale this past April 17th-22nd. The transcending story of it’s origins and design kicked of to a very successful start in Manhattan at the Park Avenue Armory and will soon travel to Paris, Beijing and Singapore throughout 2012. MA3 Agency and installation artist Sébastien Léon Agneessens were onsite to ensure the creative vision became a reality.

We are pleased to announce MA3 Agency as the Agency of Record for Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak 40^th Anniversary art exhibition. Conceptualized, curated and globally produced by MA3 Agency, the New-York based creative consultancy was commissioned to handle all aspects of the event, from creative conception and artist commissioning to technical production and execution. The exhibition will kick off at the Park Armory on March 21^st in New York, followed by a one-year long worldwide tour in key cities including Milan, Paris, Beijing, Singapore, and Dubai.

Design, photography and film unite for Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak 40th Anniversary Exhibition, launching on March 21^st at Manhattan’s Park Avenue Armory.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Royal Oak, one of Audemars Piguet’s most iconic luxury timepieces, the Swiss manufacturer is pleased to present a grand multimedia art exhibition, showcasing the very best in avant-garde design and innovative craftsmanship. Produced by MA3 Agency, the global exhibition series will kick off a one-year long worldwide tour in New York, followed by stops in Milan, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing and Dubai.

The exhibition invites viewers on a journey to experience how the Royal Oak timepiece broke all the rules to become an icon, reflecting Audemars Piguet’s innovative artistry and exceptional mastery of watchmaking. Audemars Piguet chose MA3 Agency because of their proven experience in creating and producing dynamic, memorable brand experiences, with former clients including Salvatore Ferrgamo Parfums, Chateau Haute-Brion Wines, Nespresso, Ralph Lauren Fragrances, and The Coca-Cola Company. MA3 selected Sebastien Agneessens, a creative director, composer and installation artist, as the creative mastermind behind the event. Drawing inspiration from the deep origins of the brand, the Vallée de Joux, Sebastien’s unique sculpture and design showcase will ignite the senses.

Showcasing the artistry of visual artist David Quayola and photographer Dan Holdsworth, the exhibition will utilize works of mixed media art to highlight the craftsmanship behind the savoir-faire brand. The installation will focus on a continuous transformation and the metamorphosis of matter: from grace, complexity and unpredictability of geological forms, to the beauty and precision of man-made art. A celebration of true craftsmanship and avant-garde design, the exhibition is a dynamic showcase of the mastery and artistry behind Audemars Piguet.
